RSVP: How can Security-as-a-Service help CIOs to solve the security challenge?

Equifax. University of Calgary. The SEC. These are just three notable breaches that made international headlines in 2017. The evidence suggests that enterprises are fighting a losing battle against sophisticated and determined adversaries who seek to steal data, disrupt business continuity, cause reputational loss and otherwise do harm to the Corporation, its brand and employees. A security strategy that focusses exclusively on prevention and defense is both outdated and ineffective. CIOs have a duty to inform Directors and Officers that it’s not a question of if, but when a cyber-attack will occur.
The evolution of best-practice cyber security has placed greater emphasis on enhanced detection and response capabilities driven by actionable intelligence. This session will articulate how Security-as-a-Service (SECaaS) can enable CIOs to effectively and efficiently deal with the security challenge by:
1. Shrinking the threat surface by improving security hygiene 2. Limiting the potential impact of a breach through rapid detection and response 3. Enhancing enterprise security and risk posture 4. Reducing the cost burden associated with building and maintaining an enterprise security program.
