Brian Gill

Background

Brian Gill currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer for the University Pension Plan, overseeing the teams responsible for UPP’s strategic initiatives, technology infrastructure, data analytics and business intelligence. Brian has extensive executive and Chief Information Officer leadership experience in both private and public sector organizations within the Financial Services, Technology, and Gaming industries having performed the top IT executive role at the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, the Ontario Retirement Pension Plan, Blackberry, the Canadian Depository for Securities, and Sun Life Financial (Canada). A seasoned leader, Brian is known as a strategic business executive who delivers results through technology enabled transformation applied in a people-oriented manner, increasing efficiency, and improving customer satisfaction. Brian is a champion for many important and charitable causes but is especially proud of his efforts to improve Equity, Diversity & Inclusion within those organizations he has worked. Brian holds an Honors Computer Science degree from the University of Waterloo.
